The Transportation Security Administration is considering automatic identification checks at airport security.

California officials have reached an agreement on electrifying a commuter railway that would be used for a proposed high-speed rail line there.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood have given their blessing to renewing a search for legendary missing pilot Amelia Earhart.

Secretary LaHood told a National Bike Summit in Washington to “ride up” to the Capitol and urge Congress to pass a new transportation bill.
