Reps. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) and Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) engaged in a sing-off on Twitter Wednesday to celebrate popular songs from Prince.
Ellison was the first to post his rendition of Prince's “Purple Rain” to mark the song's 30th anniversary.
Crowley later tweeted a video clip of him playing Prince’s “Raspberry Beret,” which Crowley said he prefers more than “Purple Rain.”
Ellison then asked Crowley when they’ll “jam.”
@repjoecrowley rock on, Big Joe! When are we gonna jam?— Rep. Keith Ellison (@keithellison) June 25, 2014
Crowley said he was ready to play together, and proposed singing something by Bruce Springsteen.
