Obama: Twitter diplomacy means no more 'red phones'

At his White House press conference with Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday, President Barack Obama jokingly referred to the Russian President's new Twitter presence.

"I have one as well, so we may be able to finally throw away those red phones," Obama said of his account.

Medvedev created his accounts — @kremlinrussia in Russian and @kremlinrussia_e in English — Wednesday morning during a visit to Twitter's headquarters in Silicon Valley.
