Former Democratic Senate nominee Alvin Greene (S.C.) wondered on Tuesday about the media reports of strange behavior by Rep. David Wu (D-Ore.) that have prompted questions about his fitness for office:

where can i see this tiger costume? tiger is a lame costume

a tiger costume what the heck

Greene's comments come in light of news reports that Wu had been displaying bizarre behavior and some members of his staff had quit as a result. Last year Wu reportedly e-mailed a member of his staff a picture of himself in a full-body tiger costume.

On Tuesday, Wu said on ABC's “Good Morning America” that he had done some things last year that he "sincerely regret[s] now” and that he has since sought professional medical help.

“I got the help I needed then. I'm continuing to consult medical help as I need it, and I'm in a good place now," Wu said.

In 2010 Greene won the South Carolina Democratic nomination for Senate but was defeated by Sen. Jim DeMint (R). He recently ran for the state legislature but was defeated there as well. Some questioned Greene's Senate candidacy after he suggested one way to boost job creation was by selling action figures of himself.
