Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) led a cadre of 10 politicians who cracked Time magazine's top tweeters list released on Monday.
Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), who also topped the list of politicians, tweeted a link to the article along with the comment, “Honor the Jewfro!”
Time picked 140 tweeters who the magazine said are “shaping the conversation.”
The other politicians include Sens. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Scott Brown (R-Mass.), Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), along with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Newark Mayor Cory Booker and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga).
The magazine noted that Sens. Brown and McCaskill regularly add “a personal touch” to tweets, called Palin and Weiner “feisty" and said Grassley occasionally likes to “let loose” on his Twitter feed.
The list also credited Pelosi for breaking news in tweets and Booker for turning "his Twitter handle into an online help hotline" during the 2010 snow storms that blanketed the Northeast.
