Rep. Polis likes his birthday wishes

Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.), who turned 36 on Thursday, was "blown away" by the number of people wishing him a happy birthday over social networking sites.

"wow, I'm blown away, 209 happy birthday posts on my wall; thnks 4 making my 36th bday special! :-) & like www.facebook.com/jaredpolis," the congressman tweeted Thursday.

Twitter users in Polis's state of Colorado have also been tweeting birthday wishes to the congressman, who has replied in at least two instances with a personalized "thanx!" tweet.  He's also received birthday posts on the wall of his Facebook page.
