Huntsman: I'd never give a dime to Harry Reid

Former Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman (R) said Wednesday amid confusion about their relationship that he wouldn't ever donate to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

Huntsman said on Twitter that he hasn't and will never give money to Reid, the Senate's top Democrat, though other members of his family gave the Nevada Democrat nearly $25,000 last cycle.

Huntsman said on Twitter:

I've never donated a dime to @HarryReid and wouldn't. My record in Utah balancing budgets very different from his.

Reid gave Huntsman a big bear hug yesterday, saying he would prefer Huntsman over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R). All three men are of the Mormon faith.
