Vice President Biden and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's (R-Va.) offices had some kind words for each other on Thursday.

Speaking at the 3rd Annual Washington Ideas Forum, Biden reportedly said that he has "a good personal relationship with Eric Cantor."

"I like him a lot, he's smart as heck," Biden added.

In response, Bray Dayspring, Cantor's communications director, retweeted Biden's relationship comment with "FACT" added on. And Dayspring responded to Biden's "smart as heck" comment by saying "The feeling is mutual."

The kind words between Biden and Cantor's camp comes after a recent speech in which President Obama called out Cantor in particular while criticizing legislative gridlock in Washington.

"Yesterday, the Republican Majority Leader in Congress, Eric Cantor, said that right now, he won’t even let the jobs bill have a vote in the House of Representatives," Obama said according to prepared remarks on Tuesday. "He won’t even give it a vote.”
