President Obama's challenge to Republicans to pass his job bill was about as popular on Twitter as it was among GOP members. Thirty-eight percent of tweets that expressed an opinion about Obama's pitch were critical.

Ten percent each wrote off the legislation as Obama's attempt to save his own job, called Obama's policies intolerable and predicted the bill wouldn't work. Another 8 percent were just generally negative reactions.

Only 15 percent of tweets were positive, while 46 percent were neutral.
