Dem lawmaker vows to wear sweater-vest if Santorum wins in Iowa

A Democratic congressman says he'll break out his own sweater-vest if GOP hopeful Rick Santorum wins the Iowa caucuses Tuesday night.

"If Santorum wins tonight, I am overruling my staff's orders and breaking back out my sweater vests. #argylerules," Rep. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) tweeted. 

Santorum's sweater-vests have become a personal sartorial signature on the campaign trail. The former Pennsylvania senator recently said his campaign supporters have responded positively to the sweaters.

"It sort of took on a life of its own," Santorum told The New York Times. "So I started wearing more and more. My staff bought me a bunch more."
