Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle tweeted thoughts and prayers, said they would miss her, and said “thank you” to Giffords on Sunday and Monday.
“She wants to do things right. And she is,” tweeted Rep. Rush Holt (D-N.J.).
Many called her an inspiration.

Giffords’s attendance at Obama’s speech on Tuesday will be one of her final acts as a member of Congress.
