Rep. Issa goes after Oversight Committee Democrats
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) took to the Twittersphere to take on Democrats participating in a hearing on Wednesday.
Issa, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, frequently live-tweets from hearings.
He went after one member in particular, Rep. Dennis Kucinich,
after the Ohio Democrat made some comments about the history of labor leader Jimmy
Hoffa.
.@RepKucinich: "Jimmy Hoffa defended worker rights." He should read "The
Enemy WIthin" and what Hoffa actually did for and to workers,” Issa tweeted. Kucinich did not immediately reply.
“What does any of what @OversightDems are saying have to do with worker rights, freedom of speech, personal freedoms?” he continued.
Towards the end of the hearing Issa wondered if Democrats in the hearing were still paying attention.
“Are @OversightDems not even listening to the witnesses? They're being forced to donate to partisan politics. That okay with them?” he tweeted.
If they weren’t, the other members can just check Issa’s Twitter feed for a play-by-play.
