Alaskan senator after meeting with baseball player: ‘He may have turned me into a Yankees fan!’

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) met with Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira on Thursday to discuss the Afterschool Alliance organization.
“He may have turned me into a #Yankees fan!” Murkowski tweeted, along with a picture.
Teixeira noted on his own Twitter account that he was “excited to be on Capitol Hill,” and encountered Minnesota Sen. Al Franken (D) as he entered a Senate office building.
“Just walked through security at Hart Senate OB, @AlFranken let me know ‘He is more important than me,' ” Teixeira tweeted.
