Democrats catching 'Linsanity' over basketball star Jeremy Lin

Congress is not immune to the “Lin-sanity” over NBA player Jeremy Lin.

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) tweeted Wednesday: “Jeremy Lin does it again. Is there anything this guy can’t do? Six in a row for the @nyknicks! #Linsanity”

Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.) tried to get a conversation started with Lin on Twitter, tweeting: “Jeremy Lin is living the #American story – success built on hard work and perseverance. Too bad he isn’t playing for #LA! #Linsanity @Jlin7”

Lin, who plays for the New York Knicks and has led the team to a winning streak since he began playing this season, has also earned praise from President Obama. White House press secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday that Obama is "very impressed" with him.
