President Obama gives ‘Star Trek’ Vulcan salute

The image certainly won't quell the comparisons of the commander in chief to Spock, the emotion-deprived "Star Trek" character played by Leonard Nemoy in the original series.

In a December interview with Barbara Walters, Obama said the biggest misconception about him was "Me being detached, or Spock-like, or very analytical."
