Himes, who is just 45 and not typically described as looking ol—he was carded at a local restaurant just last year—last March endorsed Murphy, 38, who is running for the open Senate seat in their state.

The two congressmen were participating in an interactive presentation about the presidential election process with eighth graders at a local Connecticut middle school on Friday.

Murphy, currently leading in a Democratic primary race for the Senate seat being vacated by Joseph Liebermann (I-Conn.) at the end of the year, did not respond to the winking endorsement on Twitter. But he did take a shot at both the traffic on I-95 and his likely GOP opponent in the Senate race, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon, touting his own fundraising abilities.

The Hill rates this race as likely Democratic.
