Democrats bike to work
Democrats like to bike.
Friday is Bike to Work Day, an effort to promote bicycling as a healthy and safe means of transportation. Several members of Congress participated in the recent tradition, but it seemed most popular with Democrats, along with Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) and Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) even tweeted pictures of themselves biking into the office. According to Quigley, biking is his "main mode of transit in DC."

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) also biked to work, and Reps. Jim Moran (D-Va.) and Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) tweeted their support.
Biking is about more than being healthy. It's about responsible transportation options. #BiketoWork
