The real estate mogul also links to a Daily Caller article where a Trump adviser suggests he would be an ideal choice for a prime-time speech.

"Mr. Trump’s massive popularity is just one of the many reasons he is being sought as a keynote speaker at the Tampa RNC Convention,” Michael Cohen, special counsel to Trump, told The Daily Caller.

Highly coveted speaking spots at the convention won't be decided until later in the summer.

Trump has been a forceful advocate for Romney since endorsing the presumptive nominee before the Nevada caucuses earlier this year. The television star flirted with his own run for the White House last year before ultimately scrapping the idea in favor of filming an additional season of his show, "The Apprentice."
