Cher compliments Obama’s manners, 'beautiful smile'
Iconic singer and actress Cher was so excited to meet Obama on Wednesday night in Beverly Hills that she live-tweeted her excitement leading up to the event.
“Cant wait 2 c beautiful smile in person,” she wrote of Obama. “My Moms out of her mind luvs him [sic].”
On Thursday, after a delay of a few hours for the event itself, Cher shared that Obama apparently lived up to the hype — and, most importantly, was "so sweet" to her mother.

Attendees included Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, “Glee” star Jane Lynch, “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Cher and Ellen DeGeneres. "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy hosted one private event, and the Fox series’s star Darren Criss performed for a large event billed as a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender gala.
And if anyone tweets as much as politicians, it’s Hollywood celebrities.
Criss, a last-minute replacement for singer Pink — who fell ill — expressed disbelief about being asked to perform, tweeting Wednesday, “is today really about to happen?” Earlier in the week, he jokingly thanked Pink for getting sick so he could skip a dentist appointment for the event.
:) So bummed I'll have to miss my dental appointment to sing for The US President Wed night. thanx @Pink for messin that up!! #greattiming

DeGeneres and Ferguson also tweeted following the event.
I stand with the President. No, really. With @BarackObama and @OFA_CA at a #Pride2012 event in LA!
