Head of Romney VP search on hand for rally with Jindal, McDonnell
The aide in charge of the Mitt Romney's vice presidential search is traveling with the presumptive Republican nominee in Colorado Thursday as he campaigns with some prominent GOP governors rumored to be on the running-mate shortlist.
Romney will be joined Thursday by Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at a rally at a high school in Basalt, Colo. Each of the governors has been thought to be a potential vice presidential pick.
And Beth Meyers, Romney's adviser who has been heading the vetting process, will be in attendance, according to fellow adviser Kevin Madden's Twitter account.

Romney has said his choice will be announced sometime in the next three weeks, and the campaign earlier this week released a new smartphone app that promised users would be alerted first when a decision was made.
But otherwise the campaign has been tight-lipped about its deliberation process, even with a decision expected any day. On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported that the campaign was bulking up its vice presidential staff, and top candidates for the spot spent the past week stumping on Romney's behalf while the candidate was overseas.
