

Republicans send prayers on Twitter after shooting in DC
The chairman of the Republican National Committee sent a prayer of comfort on Wednesday following a shooting at the Family Research Council (FRC) building in downtown Washington, D.C.
Rep. John Fleming (R-La.) was also quick to respond to the news via Twitter.

A security guard was reportedly shot in the arm during the incident. ABC 7, a local station, reported a suspect is in custody.
“The police are investigating this incident,” FRC President Tony Perkins said in a statement released shortly after the shooting. “Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.”
Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kansas) also tweeted and Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) retweeted the Susan B. Anthony List.
