

Romney campaign's new plane revealed
Mitt Romney is celebrating his soon-to-be official nomination as the Republican presidential candidate with a new ride.
Romney's new campaign plane was spotted Thursday by a producer for CNN, who tweeted a picture of the aircraft. According to the network, the plane will go into use starting Friday.

The MD-83's livery includes Romney's website and the slogan "Believe in America" painted above the passenger windows. According to the manufacturer, a standard configuration of that type of plane can seat 155 passengers.
The weapon was discovered by a CBS producer who informed the Secret Service about the forgotten firearm, which was then retrieved by agents.
According to The New York Times, the agent was responsible was pulled off of Romney's detail to discuss the incident with her supervisors. Romney returned to Tampa on Wednesday night for the remainder of the convention.
“We are aware of the incident,” said Ed Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service, in a statement obtained by multiple media outlets. “We take the care and custody of our equipment, especially firearms, very seriously. This matter will be dealt with internally and in an appropriate manner.”
