Reddit founder to Romney: 'Consider this a public invitation'
One of the founders of social news site reddit wants Mitt Romney to follow the president's example by holding a Q-and-A on his site.
"I’ve been trying to back-channel that simultaneously with [Romney's] people. I guess you can consider this a public invitation," Alexis Ohanian told Forbes magazine in a report published Thursday evening.
President Obama became the most high-profile politician yet to use reddit, holding an "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) chat on Wednesday that briefly crashed the site. The transcript of the AMA has drawn more than 4 million visitors, according to reddit.
Ohanian, who co-founded the site in 2005, said the White House set up the president's AMA once Obama's staff reached a "critical mass of redditors in the White House as well as in the reelection campaign."
