Paul Ryan welcomed back to the Hill like a celebrity

Paul Ryan’s fellow GOP members of Congress welcomed him back to the House on Thursday in star-struck fashion, with several tweeting photos with him in the halls of Congress.

The Wisconsin congressman spent his recess adding “GOP vice presidential nominee” to his resume.

Reps. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Billy Long (R-Mo.) tweeted that it was great to see him back on the Hill from the campaign trail. Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) and Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) — a fellow P90X workout fan — tweeted pictures with Ryan.

Democrats had a less friendly welcome reception for Ryan, with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) criticizing him on Medicare and others attacking his budget proposal.
