The House Budget Committee chairman and now GOP vice presidential nominee earned a celebrity welcome upon his return to Congress on Thursday. His fellow members of Congress know his preference for intense P90X workout regimen, and he has often worked out with colleagues in the House gym.

Ryan’s gym time earned plenty of interest during the August recess, after Mitt Romney picked the Wisconsin congressman as his running mate. Ryan is a former personal trainer and has said he keeps his body fat between 6 and 8 percent. Even during his grueling stint on the campaign trail over the past month, he has been spotted in hotel gyms working out to P90X on his iPad.
