Congress remembers prisoners of war

The U.S. Army tweeted a reminder early on Friday morning that several members of Congress re-tweeted with a reminder to “never forget.”

Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) tweeted that he will never forget because he displays the POW/MIA flag year-round along with the American flag and the Lone Star flag of his state.

And several of his colleagues re-tweeted a post from Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Texas), a former Air Force fighter pilot who was shot down over North Vietnam in 1966.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who was also a prisoner of the North Vietnamese in the 60s, tweeted:
