I hear @theellenshow is still sore about losing our pushup contest. What would have happened if I’d tried?-mo— Michelle Obama (@MichelleObama) September 26, 2012
The only reason I'm sore is from doing push-ups the proper way. RT @michelleobama I hear Ellen's still sore about losing our pushup contest.— Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) September 26, 2012

Questions about Michelle Obama’s form made it all the way to President Obama, who joked about the contest in June at a fundraiser with DeGeneres.
“I want to thank my wonderful friend who accepts a little bit of teasing about Michelle beating her in push-ups -- but I think she claims Michelle didn’t go all the way down,” he said. “I just want to set the record straight: Michelle outdoes me in push-ups as well.”
The first lady has appeared on DeGeneres's show several times, and since earlier this month she revealed she prefers sit-ups to push-ups when she gets a choice, her offer of a rematch just might be coming soon to day time TV.
