First lady issues sit-up challenge to talk-show host DeGeneres
The first lady is still teasing talk show host Ellen DeGeneres over a push-up contest DeGeneres lost earlier this year on her show, along with offering a rematch in sit-ups.
A tweet exchange between the two women, where tweets from the first lady are marked “-mo” to indicate she sent them personally, indicates Michelle Obama knows it’s still a sore subject with DeGeneres.
I hear @theellenshow is still sore about losing our pushup contest. What would have happened if I’d tried?-mo

The only reason I'm sore is from doing push-ups the proper way. RT @michelleobama I hear Ellen's still sore about losing our pushup contest.

@theellenshow What did you say? You sounded a little out of breath. And next time, it’s sit-ups. –mo

Questions about Michelle Obama’s form made it all the way to President Obama, who joked about the contest in June at a fundraiser with DeGeneres.
“I want to thank my wonderful friend who accepts a little bit of teasing about Michelle beating her in push-ups -- but I think she claims Michelle didn’t go all the way down,” he said. “I just want to set the record straight: Michelle outdoes me in push-ups as well.”
The first lady has appeared on DeGeneres's show several times, and since earlier this month she revealed she prefers sit-ups to push-ups when she gets a choice, her offer of a rematch just might be coming soon to day time TV.
