Greenberg suffered from ongoing concussion problems over the years, but still played in some minor league games for the Israeli National team.
Now, the 31-year-old is getting another at-bat opportunity. Greenberg signed a one-day contract with the Miami Marlins to bat in the first inning of the New York Mets game Tuesday night, according to The Associated Press.
Greenberg sent out a tweet celebrating his second chance.
The day Has finally come 7 years in the making. Time to step back on major league field to play. @marlins vs @mets What a feeling
