Goodreads: Obama, Romney supporters read the same amount
President Obama's supporters are three times more likely to read Jonathan Franzen than Mitt Romney's are, according to Goodreads, the popular social reading site.
Goodreads asked its users to share whom they plan to vote for in November and then dug into user history for trends. The results are interesting, though Goodreads did not check for voting status in the poll.
The average Romney fan gave Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged four stars, while the average Obama fan gave it three, the site reports. Atlas Shrugged is the 1957 Objectivist screed more closely associated with Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan. Ryan (R-Wis.), the chairman of the House Budget Committee, who has called Rand an influence on his work but later said his respect for her work has become more "urban legend" than fact.
