Del. Norton misspells Obama in debate tweets

D.C.'s Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D) got so caught up in Tuesday night's debate she forgot how to spell the president's name. 

Norton also shared a colorful opinion on the GOP nominee's performance:

Norton spelled Obama as "Oboma" three times in separate tweets during a five-tweet series commenting on the debate between the president and Mitt Romney.

In a follow-up tweet, Norton apologized for spelling the president's name wrong but celebrated the debate as a win for Obama. She had been very clear in previous interviews that she thought Obama lost the first presidential debate.

Her office confirmed the tweets were authentic. 

Norton, or her office, went on to delete the tweet about Romney along with several others the following day. The Sunlight Foundation's tool Politwoops preserved the deleted tweets here.
