Romney’s preparation ahead of both of the first two debates also included a meal with the Romney family, and some of the extended family played Jenga back stage at the first presidential debate.
Romney ramped up the family time for Monday’s final debate, spending Sunday playing football with them and members of his staff.
Same strategists suggested the Romney family’s football break was an attempt to project confidence in his preparation.
Monday night’s debate is moderated by CBS News’s Bob Schieffer and will be focused on foreign policy. As son Josh Romney noted on Twitter, it is the 22nd debate Romney has participated in, including the GOP primaries.
