'Binders full of women' a popular Halloween costume

The "binders full of women" line prompted some of the more popular, and long-lasting, Internet parodies from last month's presidential debates. Homemade "binders full of women" costumes proved popular with a number of Americans this year, at least according to the many photos shared through Twitter on Wednesday night. Some of those photos were shared on the popular Tumblr created during the second presidential debate.

Mitt Romney used the phrase when explaining that as the governor of Massachusetts, he made a "concerted effort" to find qualified women for roles in his administration. He explained that he asked women's groups for recommendations and was given "whole binders full of women" who would make for potential candidates.

Bush was not the only high-profile name picking up on the ghoulish potential of mixing politics and costume parties. Former GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman's daughters Mary Anne, Abby and Liddy also planned a "binders" theme this year.
