"It has been such an honor to work for Mitt Romney," he tweeted Wednesday morning. "I am so proud of him and Ann. They left everything on the field for our great country."
On Tuesday night as the Romney campaign watched the returns come in, the GOP candidate was also surrounded by family, according to Jackson. Mitt and Ann Romney have five sons and 18 grandchildren.
Romney also had his final peanut butter and honey sandwich of the campaign on Election Day, another event documented by Jackson. The sandwich had been his favorite snack on the campaign trail.
