Sen. McCain: What about deep-fried Twinkies?
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) doesn’t know if presidential campaigns will be the same without deep-fried Twinkies on a stick.
Twinkies maker Hostess closes - what will we do without deep fried Twinkies at the #Iowa State Fair?

Hostess, the company best known for making Twinkies and Wonder Bread, announced Friday it is closing permanently.
The Iowa State Fair is a tradition for presidential campaigns, and known for deep-frying everything from Twinkies to butter.
Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) had a more serious take on the announcement.
Number of the day: 18,500. 18,500 jobs will b gone when Hostess closes doors today b/c of unions refusal 2 negotiate. twitter.com/RepDavid/statu…

And Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), tweeting later in the day, had a moment of nostalgia.
Contemplating a twinky-less future. Not happy.
