Rep. Himes greets cold weather with Doritos

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) has discovered the secret to staying cozy and warm on a day when snow is predicted on the East Coast: Nacho Cheese Doritos.

Himes, who tends to be a prolific tweeter while commuting by train, weighed in on the British boy band One Direction — they have a Nov. 30 concert in Connecticut — and the warming effect of a fresh bag of Doritos on Tuesday afternoon.

But what I'm really happy about is the bag of Doritos I'm opening. Tho the weather outside is frightful, in here it's just delightful...

Himes seems to have strong opinions about both boy bands and Doritos. He explained to a follower that he chooses traditional Nacho Cheese over Cool Ranch, and his daughters are safely locked away from the British pop invaders.

Incidentally, Himes has revealed that his other favorite “blustery day” food is a bowl of “soba noodles in broth.”
