Rep. Wasserman Schultz educates on Spanx
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) educated a couple of men on respecting Spanx — body-slimming foundational garments for women — Wednesday on Twitter.
“Billion dollar woman-led company. #justsayin,” she noted in a tweet.
Wasserman Schultz was responding to an exchange between Brad Woodhouse, spokesman for the Democratic National Committee, and Bill Burton, the former staffer for President Obama and senior strategist behind Priorities USA Action, the main super-PAC supporting the president’s reelection. Both tweeted a link to an opinion piece by Washington Post writer Kathleen Parker.
.@billburton716 @woodhouseb Hmmm-betting neither of you knew what Spanx were until the tweet! Billion dollar woman-led company. #justsayin

.@woodhouseb you're brave to retweet a link that includes the word "Spanx" (which I didn't know required capitalization until this morning).

“[Sen. John] McCain’s (R-Ariz.) opinion about [United Nations Ambassador Susan] Rice’s qualifications is only slightly less compelling than his thoughts on Playtex vs. Spanx,” Parker wrote in the post.
