Sens. Rubio, Cornyn: RIP Latin pop star Jenni Rivera

Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) reached out to the fans and family of Jenni Rivera on Monday following news of the Latin pop star’s death.

Rivera, a pop singer influenced by traditional banda music and a superstar in Mexico, was in a fatal plane crash on Sunday in Mexico. All seven people aboard the plane were killed, according to The Associated Press. Rivera was 43.
