

Rep. Speier hosts reddit Q&A between House votes

Rep. Jackie Speier is having a busy Wednesday. The California Democrat is sandwiching her first reddit Q&A between afternoon votes.
According to a picture tweeted from her official account, Speier is answering questions on a reddit AMA (“Ask me anything”) on a tablet outside the House chamber.

reddit, a popular social news site, has increasingly hosted politicians for similar chats in the past. President Obama used it for the first time during his re-election campaign, and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has been hosting an AMA for the past month to engage active users’ ideas about drafting a bill to prohibit regulatory agencies from enacting rules that affect the Internet for two years.
