The clot, which was not on the brain but could have blocked blood flow, is said to result from the concussion Clinton suffered earlier in December after a fall attributed to dehydration. She was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after a scan discovered the clot. 

Clinton is stepping down from her position at the State Department this month.
