Members tweet pride in reading the Constitution on House Floor
Members of the House of Representatives participated in a marathon-style reading of the Constitution on Tuesday morning, the second time the document has been read in full on the House Floor.
Many members on Tuesday shared their pride in participating, but the event did draw some criticism from Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), who slammed House Republicans for taking time to read the Constitution but not “to understand privacy rights, limits [to the Second Amendment, and] that [corporations are] not people.”
