Rep. Pompeo interprets Google's doodle

Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) interpreted Wednesday's Google doodle through a policy lens in this tweet:

Google's doodle of the day is an interactive Zamboni game celebrating the birthday of inventor Frank Zamboni. USA Today warned it "will kill your productivity." Pompeo, who has clearly played the game himself, was likely referring to the stakes of the game, which requires users to finish remaking the ice before the Zamboni runs out of gas.

Pompeo introduced the Energy Freedom and Economic Prosperity Act on Tuesday, a bill that would eliminate a range of tax credits for green power, biofuels and oil and gas, combined with a corresponding cut in corporate tax rates.

Google regularly illustrates its search page logo to "celebrate holidays, anniversaries and the lives of famous artists, pioneers and scientists," according to the search engine.
