Mitt and Ann Romney visited Washington, D.C., on Friday and attended a lunch with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Romney’s former running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

According to the Boston Globe, Ed Gillespie, a senior campaign adviser; Ryan’s wife, Janna; and Romney’s older brother, Scott Romney, also attended, among others. Romney avoided the media for the event.
Romney, who did not attend President Obama’s inauguration, was last in Washington in late November, when he visited the White House.
CNN reported that the Romneys will also attend the black-tie Alfalfa Dinner on Saturday.
