Biden gives Super Bowl MVP Flacco props on Twitter

Vice President Biden on Twitter Monday congratulated Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco for his dramatic Super Bowl victory.

Joe, congrats on the Superbowl ring and MVP. Coach Tubby and Blue Hens everywhere are proud. Including me. –VP@teamflacco

Flacco, who was named the game's most valuable player, played college football for the University of Delaware. Biden is also a former Blue Hen, playing halfback for the school's freshman football team in 1961.

Biden is in the midst of a European tour that includes stops in Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Monday morning, the vice president met with U.S. Embassy staff in Paris. Later in the day, Biden met with French President François Hollande before departing to London in the afternoon.
