Sen. Cornyn: Justice Department effort shows Obama admin isn't worried about voter fraud

Cornyn's tweet came in an interaction with another Twitter user the same day that Attorney General Eric Holder announced the Justice Department would file a motion requiring Texas to first get federal approval before changing its voting laws.

Holder said Thursday in a speech at the National Urban League “we believe that the State of Texas should be required to go through a preclearance process whenever it changes its voting laws and practices."

Texas Republicans were quick to criticize the move saying President Obama and Holder were unfairly singling out their state.
