'Homeland' cast visits DC for screening

The cast of President Obama's favorite show, "Homeland," is in Washington to hold a screening of the hit program.

The popular Showtime show, which features Claire Danes as a CIA analyst and Damian Lewis as a former prisoner-of-war-turned-congressman, tweeted a photo from its official account of the cast with the White House and the Washington Monument in the background.

Obama has raved about "Homeland" and invited Lewis to attend a White House state dinner. Other cast members have attended the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

No word on whether the cast will stop by 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. during their visit.

Danes and Lewis — along with co-stars Mandy Patinkin, Morena Baccarin, Morgan Saylor and executive producers Alex Gansa and Alex Cary — will be at the Corcoran Gallery of Art for a special screening of the premiere espisode of season three.

The third season of "Homeland" premieres on Showtime on Sept. 29.
