Although he did not mention the incident himself, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) thanked two House colleagues for defending him against calls to apologize on the House floor for interrupting the president's speech.
Wilson tweeted Monday after he spoke on the House floor, commending Reps. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Louie Gohmert (R-Tex.) for mentioning him in their one-minute speeches:

Several Democratic House leaders have called on Wilson to apologize on the House floor or face an official rebuke. The Hill reported that a Democrat may introduce a resolution condemning Wilson today or Tuesday.
