Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) took to Twitter on Tuesday, saying that he will as expected vote against the Senate Finance Committee's healthcare reform bill.

The conservative senator's announcement comes on the day the Finance panel will vote on their version of the bill. The 23-member committee is expected to have a close vote, with many eyes being cast on Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) as a key swing vote.

He tweeted this morning:

The Finance Committee health care bill raises taxes, reduces Medicare benefits and costs more than $1.6 trillion over 10 years. #tcot #utpol

The bill breaks several of the promises the President made to Americans. #tcot #utpol

I will be voting against the Finance Committee health care bill today. #tcot #utpol

Hatch has long opposed the bill, citing its price tag and several provisions including a tax on Cadillac health insurance plans.
