DCCC responds to NRCC Nazi comparison

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) said House Republicans have gone "way too far" in comparing Democratic healthcare reform efforts to Nazism.

Earlier today, a tweet appeared on the National Republican Congressional Committee's offcial Twitter feed that said "Funny Video: Moonbattery: Hitler Reacts to ObamaCare Maneuvers http://bit.ly/2mOvZ7 #Pelosi"

The tweet, which has since been removed, contained video of an actor playing Adolf Hitler in a biopic delivering a rating speech.

The maker of the video, however, changed the subtitles to relate to healthcare reform. They read "Pelosi has 256 Democrats in Congress, she can pass whatever the hell she wants...this is not how you socialize your country you're supposed to bankrupt your people!"

“House Republicans have gone way too far, DCCC spokeswoman Jennifer Crider said in a statement. "The NRCC’s despicable promotion of a video comparing Speaker Pelosi’s effort to reform health insurance in America to Adolf Hitler’s extermination of millions is a shocking new low that must be condemned.

"Republican Leader John Boehner should order NRCC chairman Pete Sessions to immediately remove this vile Tweet and apologize," she added.
