Two Republican senators on Tuesday tweeted their plans to attend a memorial service for the victims of the Fort Hood, Texas shooting last week.
Armed Services chairman Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) both said they would be at the 2 p.m. eastern time service. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will also be in attendance.

The shooting rampage on Thursday killed 13 and wounded 30. Some lawmakers have accused suspected gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, of committing a terrorist attack. U.S. intelligence agencies knew months ago that Hasan contacted a known al Qaeda recruiter.
