Palin to Twitter again
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) announced on Monday that she will start using Twitter again in conjuction with her upcoming book tour.
The 2008 vice presidential nominee has not tweeted since late July, when she stepped down from office. In August, Palin created her new Twitter handle @SarahPalinUSA but it has been inactive since that time. Her old handle, @AKGovSarahPalin has not been used since she resigned as governor.
"I’ll Twitter information when the tour starts, so I’ll post our progress from the road. You can follow on Twitter at SarahPalinUSA," Palin said in a Facebook note yesterday evening.
Her tour promoting her new memoir, "Going Rogue," kicks off on Nov. 18 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Palin's new account has just over 11,000 followers. Images of her book cover decorate the background of her new Twitter site. By comparison, her old account still has over 150,000 followers, but accounts usually boost their follower count as more tweets appear on their feed.
On her old feed, Palin commented on Alaska and national politics. It is not known if her new feed will contain political or promotional material; or a combination of both.
